Gabby Lee is a percussion educator, freelance percussionist and composer based in Perth, Western Australia. After her studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Gabby now holds a wide range of skills from percussion, composition, electronic music production, facilitating workshops, teaching and orchestral management. As an active collaborator, she has commissioned and premiered four works by local Western Australian composers. Along with her musical collaborations, Gabby also works with other forms of art such as poetry, visual art, dance and theatre as a composer and performer. Having received the WAAPA Richard Gill Award for one of her own compositions, Gabby's personal works seek to explore a deeper understanding into the human condition and finding direction to hope through storytelling. Her compositions are very much inspired by her Christian identity and is often the drive for the creative projects she pursues.
